Amazing Race Canada lands in Yellowknife

The Amazing Race Canada landed in Yellowknife Monday morning, including host and former Olympian Jon Montgomery.

All cast and crew were sworn to secrecy and declined to comment when asked by MyYellowknifeNow what they had planned for Yellowknife.

The reality adventure show which stars teams of two competing against other teams for $250,000 cash and other prizes, is filming its seventh season. The show came to Yellowknife in 2013, when contestants were made to jump into the frigid waters of Yellowknife Bay among other challenges.

The show’s host Jon Montgomery is a speaker and Olympic gold medalist – he won gold in skeleton racing at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games.
