The Fort Liard region could see up to 70 millimetres of rain from now until Wednesday evening.
Environment Canada issued a warning early Tuesday morning as heavy rain and thunderstorms are forecast for the region. The weather is forecast to last until Wednesday evening.
“Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads,” the warning states. “Heavy rainfall in combination with other weather factors, such as hail, wind and lightning will make outdoor activities unsafe.”
