Julie Plourde is the Media Relations Officer with the Northwest Territories (NWT) RCMP in Yellowknife.

“Yellowknife RCMP responded to a call of service yesterday, October 3, at approximately 1:00 p.m. at an apartment building on Gitzel Street,” Plourde said. “Upon arrival on the scene, the RCMP found a male victim with a non-life threatening injury. The man was transported to the hospital for treatment.”

A witness on scene told Moose News that the victim received multiple face lacerations in the assault, but the RCMP did not comment on the type of injury the man received, only that is was a non-life threatening injury.

The RCMP arrested one suspect in connection with this file, Plourde says.
