The City of Yellowknife will be migrating to new online recreation software effective December 2nd. On this date, residents will no longer be able to access the old software, eConnect. Residents will be required to create a new account in order to perform program registration or other recreation transactions moving forward.
The City states they changed the recreation software because the old software is no longer being updated or supported by the manufacturer. At this time, the City wishes to advise residents to visit www.yellowknife.ca/programs to read more about the transition and to create their new account.
Residents are encouraged to visit this website in advance of program registration, which starts on December 16th, to reduce potential wait times. eConnect client accounts will no longer be functional therefore all users of the new YKrec system must create a new client account.
As of December 16th, residents will be able to use their new YKrec Client Account to complete online registration for all their favourite programs.
As a special thank-you from the City, there will be a draw for three $100 gift certificates to those who create an account before December 16th.
