Not all items on the menu at McDonald’s in Yellowknife are available for purchase.
With the recent recall of California-grown romaine lettuce by Health Canada McDonald’s Canada and the location located in Yellowknife took immediate action to temporarily remove items from the menu to keep residents safe.
Ms. Veronica Bart, is the Public Relations Manager, for McDonald’s Canada.
“Ensuring the quality and safety of our food is always a top priority for McDonald’s Canada,” Bart said. “In an abundance of caution and in response to recommendations from the Public Health Agency of Canada to all Canadian foodservice establishments, McDonald’s Canada took immediate action to temporarily remove items from our menu that include California-grown romaine lettuce.”
These menu items will be made available again once restaurants receive romaine from non-California sources, Bart added.
