Yellowknife RCMP to keep reduced administrative services hours due to building repairs

The temporary reduction in administrative service hours at the Yellowknife Detachment will remain in effect for Yellowknife RCMP and Northwest Territories RCMP.

The front counter will remain open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The fingerprinting and criminal records check services have been reinstated in the reduced administrative hours.

Due to a structural integrity issue with the main water pipe system in the Henry Larsen Building, major repairs will be taking place in and around the building. This will affect the availability of parking in the area in front of the Yellowknife Detachment front entrance. Veterans Memorial Drive (49th Avenue) will also have intermittent road closures as the repairs are made to the piping underneath the main building, according to the RCMP.

Please plan on possibly having to park further away from the building to access the front entrance for the Yellowknife Detachment. Your patience is appreciated, the RCMP says.

Our Yellowknife Detachment front line policing and investigative services and our Operational Communications Centre (OCC) continue to be operational and there will be no change to service levels due to the building repairs, the RCMP added.
