Yellowknife, NWT – Hay River R.C.M.P say a 47-year-old man whose vehicle rolled over on Highway 1 on Tuesday is alive today because he was wearing his seatbelt.
The single-vehicle accident happened after 5pm near Escarpment Creek, south of Enterprise.
The man was injured and trapped inside the vehicle.
Firefighters had to use the jaws of life to free him.

Police say he was taken to the Hay River Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Here in Yellowknife, R.C.M.P say this is a reminder that seatbelts save lives and prevent injuries.
