A bike race is around the corner for Yellowknife. The Yellowknife Mountain Bike Club is hosting a TINsanity Fat Bike Race at Tin Can Hill on January 20th. The race will be a 2 kilometre loop. Racers will loop the track as many times as they can in a set time limit. The race is set into two categories; rec category where racers will loop for 40 minutes, and the Open category in which racers will loop for an hour.
Registration will take place on site before the event. Any Yellowknife Mountain Bike Club member can race for free. Non-members will have a registration fee of $10 – cash only.
Race rules include
- Racers must wear a helmet
- Racers must yield to other trail users – and their dogs
- Any lap started before the cutoff time will be counted
